Meeting Colombia’s energy needs through responsible, long‑term infrastructure development

About AET

Colombia is entering a period of increasing natural gas tightness. As mature fields decline and new supply additions lag, the system is expected to face a widening gap between supply and demand—especially during periods of disruption or peak need. In this environment, energy security depends on adding flexible, diversified supply options, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) import infrastructure that can complement domestic production.

These pressures are felt most acutely in Southwest Colombia, where distance from producing basins and pipeline constraints can translate into higher delivered costs and less operational flexibility. Developing LNG landing and associated infrastructure on the Pacific Coast creates a strategic new entry point for supply, improves resilience, and supports more reliable service for households, industry, and the power sector.

Andes Energy Terminal (AET) is a project company developing energy assets and related infrastructure in Colombia’s Pacific region. Our focus is to help strengthen energy security by expanding access to reliable energy supply solutions—through disciplined development, safe operations, and long-term partnerships.

Led by experienced energy executives, proven local operators, and seasoned project finance professionals, AET is committed to safe operations, environmental stewardship, and transparent, community-oriented development.
